The festival hub will be at the Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh in September 2026. Alongside this will be an outreach programme for adults and children with additional needs across Scotland.

The festival was started by My Kind of Book in 2024 in response to research we carried out with families and ASN schools. (Download the report on our inaugural festival here and our research report here.)

About organiser

At My Kind of Book we believe that everyone can enjoy a good story.

We are particularly interested in ensuring that children with complex additional needs, including PMLD (profound and multiple learning disabilities) have books and sensory stories to enjoy.
